Here it is a full three months after the end of the tax filing season and I am still working on GD extensions. Despite all good intentions I just can’t get motivated to “get off the stick”. I continue to be plagued with “manana” disease. I seem to be finding lots of other stuff to do, business and otherwise, to avoid dealing with the GDEs. As I continually say – it is hard to explain to the uninitiated the fact that once I stop doing 1040s in “tax season mode” it is extremely difficult to go back. I have been getting some work done on the GD extensions – I finished one over the week-end and I started another this morning – but not at the pace at which I should be working. I truly need to find a way to “thin the herd” without reducing my income next tax season so the only GD extensions are for clients who have not given me their “stuff”. RDF
