FYI, I will be “locked behind closed doors” from Monday (today)afternoon through Wednesday this week.  The “to be done” box is   “chock-a-block”!

While the answering machine will be on today to announce the LBCD status – it will NOT be on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Talk to you on Thursday!

February 15, 2010:  TWO DOWN - EIGHT TO GO!

The first two weeks of "the season" are now behind me.

I have completed 41 returns - more than 10% of my annual volume.

I have either done or heard from 26% of my client list.

There are now 25 retuns in the "to be done" box and 5 in "red files".

I had been keeping current for the first two weeks - but with   my 0annual visits to Freehold and Brick over the week-end I picked up 015 returns.

So that is Where the Fakawi!

AND SO IT BEGINS AGAIN!

My 39th tax season is here.

I have already done two Form 1040s and one NJ tenant rebate application, and it isn't even February 1st yet!

As usual I will continut my practice of BEHIND CLOSED DOORS WEDNESDAY.  I will be unavailable and inaccessible each Wednesday of the filing season - phone turned off and email ignored.

Make sure you get all your "stuff" - and I do mean "all" - in my hands by March 25th if you want to be relatively sure that you will have your finished returns back in time for an April 15th filing.  I reserve the right to automatically extend any return for which I do not have all the necessary information in my hands on March 25th.

You can check here for periodic updates on "Where the Fakawi" and for any changes or revisions to normal tax season practices and procedures.  If you are a "twit" you can also follow my progress on Twitter at http://twitter.com/rdftaxpro.

So now - bring on the 1040s!
